We are happy to provide tailored first aid courses for all types of sports teams and organisations, such as health clubs, running clubs, tennis groups, fitness and spinning studios, cricket and hockey clubs and many more.

You can choose a course that meets your clubs needs:

Emergency First Aid at Work Course for Sport (6 hours)

This one day course is great for sports coaches, PE teachers and other staff wishing to act as an Emergency First Aider to immediately assist a casualty in an emergency situation. The course content includes adult and child first aid and meets the HSE criteria for EFAW, but with extra, tailored topics applicable to each sports organisation. 

Course details:

  • Six hours per day of guided learning hours (excluding breaks)

  • Continuous assessment throughout course by trainer

  • Multiple choice paper on completion of training session

  • On successful completion of the full course, candidates will receive a nationally recognised FAIB Emergency First Aid at Work for Sport certificate valid for three years.

Course content (the topics indicated (*) can be included as required):

  • First Aider role & responsibilities; kits/accident recording

  • Assessing & managing a first aid incident

  • Unconscious casualty management

  • CPR/AED use

  • Bleeding - from minor injuries to major bleeds (shock)

  • Choking

  • Seizures

  • Minor injuries such as grazes, bruises, splinters & burns

 

 

 

 

 

 

Basic First Aid Course tailored to Sport

This 3 or 4 hour course (you decide) is ideal for those who looking to attend a basic first aid course, tailored to the groups specific sport. 

Course details:

  • Three or four hour guided learning hours (short break halfway)

  • Continuous assessment by trainer

  • Candidates will be awarded a certificate of participation by Wimbledon First Aid Training valid for three years.

 

Topics covered can include the following depending on the group/participants needs:

  • Role & responsibilities of the first aider

  • Assessing & managing a first aid incident

  • Unconscious casualty management

  • CPR/AED use

  • Bleeding - from minor injuries to major bleeds (shock)

  • Choking 

  • Minor injuries such as grazes, bruises, splinters & burns

  • Heart Attacks

  • Head injuries including spinal injury management

  • Soft tissue injuries

  • Fractures

  • Asthma attacks 

  • Seizures

  • Allergies and anaphylaxis
